The ancient beliefs that related certain foods to different improvements in the skin finally have the opportunity to be supported by more than books, internet and the vast wisdom of our elders.In this way, one of the aspects in which a remarkable change in the skin associated to the ingestion of certain foods has been observed is the coloration, since it has been demonstrated that the consumption of noni, persimmon, tomatoes and raw carrots, as well as the excessive consumption of the beta carotene supplement causes the skin to acquire an orange color.on the other hand, we find the branch of the wrinkles. Thus, there are many women who dare to claim a reduction in the appearance of cellulite thanks to the intake of various supplements, such as centella asiatica, ruscus, ginkgo extracts, melilotus, polyphenols... At the moment there is not enough evidence to be able to confirm the direct relationship between the intake of supplements or certain natural foods and an excellent appearance of the skin.

However, it is important to stress the importance of good lifestyle habits, such as good nutrition and sport, before considering supplements to improve the appearance of the skin, as without them this improvement cannot take place.
